Go confidently in the direction of your dreams, live the life you imagined

This weekend, marks the year anniversary of August 18th 2012 was when everything changed. My lovely fit uncle had a main brain haemorrhage. Our family pulled close to take the blow of the aftermath, he had a 3% chance of survival of surgery, we were told to say goodbye - but he survived. The rollacoaster continued another two times over the next couple of months whilst he was in intensive care - we were told to say goodbye again - but he survived.  Even the doctors said they couldn't believe how strong his will to live was. He is the bravest person I know, never once has he moaned or pitied his situation, Always smiling.

Now he bares the scars and is constantly healing but he is still here, living a life filled with renewed reverence. This event changed my whole family, the stress the strain, the fear and the relief, oh the relief.

If I have learnt anything from this awful experience it is that life should be filled with simple things that make you happy, family, friends, love. It is hard to feel content with your lot all of the time, but as long as you have air in your lungs and a smile on your face what else matters?!

The Vintique Tree Wedding

We had a wonderful wedding day at the seaside in wales at the end of June. The weather was lovely, all the plans fell in place and the start to my new married life was perfect! My wedding photographer Nicolette Wells who is based in North Wales did an incredible job and captured our day so we can look back and smile. She took hundreds of photos so I thought I would share some of my favourites with you...

Mediterranean moments

Its been a while since my last post as I have been busy getting hitched! Cant wait for the pictures to arrive but in the meantime thought I would share some of our mini-moon pictures with you, we went to one of favourite places in the world Mallorca. Every time we go we love the easy living, the fresh food, the people and the culture. We stopped in the east of the island and hired a car to explore. Next time you go step away from the obvious beach resorts and find the real Mallorca!

Along the wharf  fishermen fix their nets by hand. They plait the nets together - serious craftsmanship!

One of our favourite little town in Mallorca has the most amazing and pretty square perfect for a crepe and a cup of coffee!

This looks more like a French scene than Spanish! This is a tiny bar which has live jazz on Wednesday nights

We went to a look out point and added our lock to the railings, in a similar tradition to the pont de arts in Paris, it signifies your love...being as we just got married we thought we would part take!
