Cushions for autumn
So as the autumn is looming I start to think of how to make the house feel more homely and snug for the chilly darker nights. I recently picked up a beautiful vintage welsh tapestry blanket in a teal duck egg blue colour. I am obsessed with cushions and I am constantly rotating them round my house. But our sofa ones are looking a bit flat now so I am thinking of making some out of liberty and vintage fabrics with a few pieces of blue french monogrammed linens in for good measure. This is a pretty big project for me as I am good with a paintbrush but not so much with a sewing machine so I think I with enlist mum's help!
I have a stock of fabrics but none in the colours I need so I am going to source some from ebay and vintage markets. These images below are of liberty fabric from pinterest, a bit of inspiration on patterns and colours. Cant wait to get started! Will give a update as I find the perfect fabrics hehe! In particular I love the liberty peacock fabric, I picked up a silk tie in this fabric many moons ago, I wonder if it could be incorporated??
